The 55K Ultimate Trails Challenge is a testing 55K ultra marathon course through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the Lake District. The tough, challenging course will certainly live up to it’s billing as the most picturesque ultra marathon in the UK. The 55K route also includes 3 mountain passes, with 7,000 ft ascent/descent along with 5 memorable feed stations. The 100K route adds in an extra 2 passes and 3500 ft of elevation.
Starting and finishing in Ambleside, the 100K and 55K Ultimate Trails Challenges take in a complete circuit of the central Lake District, along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways.
